[Suggestion] - Click on results while SF is still running

Postby just_bri on Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:19 am

Hello! And let me first say that I LOVE Super Finder. I just discovered it today and I couldn't be happier! It's just like the old Windows 98 search feature, which I also love.

I currently have Windows Vista, and I HATE their search option: I can only perform one type of search at a time (ie: I can't search for (1) all .doc AND .txt files that also (2) contain the words "chicken". I was looking for an old recipe on my hard drive). And sometimes Vista's search doesn't even work.

Anyway, I have a suggestion. As the title of this thread says, I think you should let people click on the results while Super Finder is still performing a search. As an example, I found 5 old chicken recipes on my computer, and I wasn't sure if the first result was the one I wanted. But when I tried clicking it, the area was greyed out and didn't turn "normal" (and allow me to click it) until the search stopped 2 minutes later.

So there you go. You should let people click on results as they appear, instead of waiting for the entire search to finish. =)

Thanks for hearing me out, and I hope you'll implement this idea in a future update!

Hi just_bri,
thanks for the suggestion.

This feature request is already on our to-do list (many users have asked for this feature... I think to implement in a near release).

Best regards,
